Arriving and Leaving School Grounds Safely
All students are required to move directly to the school playground area when they arrive at school. This area is supervised in the mornings by Executive staff. The toilets and canteen are open before roll call so that students have access to resources they may need in the morning.
Tuncurry Campus also runs a breakfast bar from 8.15am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is free and open to all students in Years 7 to 10.
No students are to leave school grounds to go to the Oasis Petrol Station under any circumstance.
Students who are not at roll call by 8.40am are required to have a note from home explaining their absence and are to sign in at the Administration Office to be marked present for the day.
Students are dismissed at 3 pm. The only students to leave school site at this time are those who walk or ride home or who are being collected by family. Students who catch bus transport must wait at school at the Administration building area to be supervised and supported in the afternoon. Students are not to leave school grounds to catch a bus from another area in town or to go to the Oasis Petrol Station and then return to catch a bus.
Should a student need to leave school early they are to present a note signed by a parent or guardian to the Administration Office and obtain a leave pass. A parent phone call to a student mobile phone is not adequate to ensure leave is granted.
Tuncurry Campus staff appreciate you discussing the expectations with your children and also supporting us by following our requested safe school practices.
